Delete your account and data
Last updated: 2026-09-25
This page explains how to delete your Kutla account and the data attached to it. You do not need to sign in to read it.
The app
Kutla, published by Better Life With Apps.
How to request deletion
The quickest way is inside the app: open Settings, scroll down to Your data, tap Delete my data and confirm. The app then clears your logo, contact line, saved photos and posts from your device, erases your reminder settings and queues the account for deletion; from that moment the account can no longer be used.
If you can no longer open the app — because you have uninstalled it, for instance — write to privacy@blwapps.com from any address instead and tell us:
- that you want your Kutla account and its data deleted;
- whether you used the app on iOS or Android;
- if you bought a subscription or a credit top-up, the App Store or Google Play order number for it.
Kutla accounts carry no email address, so an email address on its own is usually not enough for us to find your record. A store order number is the most reliable way for us to locate the account. If you cannot supply anything that identifies it, we may not be able to act on the request — not because we are refusing it, but because there is nothing linking the request to a specific record.
Once we can identify the account, we revoke your access and delete the account. The result is the same as deleting it in the app, except that we cannot reach the data kept on your device: uninstalling the app removes that.
What gets deleted
Your access is revoked as soon as the request is accepted, and your reminder settings are erased. After a short safety delay, we remove:
- the files stored for you in our object storage — the photos you sent to be put into a scene, including photos of your family or your child, and the scenes and logo emblems made for you;
- the inputs kept with your posts, including the name you gave for the captions, your business name, sector and brand colours, and the captions written for you;
- the push token that lets us send you notifications and reminders;
- your recorded consent choices;
- your billing identity — the identifier that connects your account to your purchases.
The safety delay exists so that an accidental or disputed deletion can still be stopped. We do not publish its exact length here, because it is set in our systems and can change.
What is kept
- A non-identifying tombstone. A minimal record showing that an account with that internal identifier existed and was deleted. It carries no personal data and cannot be used to identify you.
- Audit evidence of the deletion itself. Proof that the request was made and carried out, which is what lets us demonstrate that we honoured it.
- Records of your posts and files. When each post was generated and how it ended, and the type and size of each deleted file. The inputs you gave, the captions and the files themselves are removed.
- Purchase and credit records. What you bought and when, your subscription status, and your credit balance and its history, kept so that refunds and store disputes can still be settled. Apple or Google, and RevenueCat, which processes purchases for us, keep their own records of your purchases; deleting your account does not remove them.
- Database backups. A backup is made every day and the newest 14 are kept, so a copy of your account can remain in a backup for about two weeks.
- Feedback you sent through the app. It is kept by Wiredash, which runs our feedback form, and is not removed by deleting your account; write to us if you want it removed.
- Records under a documented legal hold. If a specific legal obligation requires us to preserve something, a documented legal hold can pause the deletion until that obligation ends. Barring such a hold, deletion proceeds normally.
Your subscription itself is not part of your account with us. It lives with the Apple App Store or Google Play. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription and does not produce a refund — cancel it in your store’s subscription settings, as described in the Terms of Use. Credits left in your account are lost when the account is deleted.
If you have already uninstalled the app
Reinstalling the app on the same phone or tablet normally reconnects you to the same account. The app keeps an identifier for your installation that survives removal: on iPhone and iPad it is stored in the iOS keychain, and on Android it is derived from an ID the system assigns to the app on that device.
Uninstalling removes the logo, photos and posts the app kept on your device, but it does not delete anything on our servers by itself. To have the record deleted, send the request described above.
Other privacy requests
Deletion is one of several rights you have. You can also ask for access to your data, correction, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Write to privacy@blwapps.com. The Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.
